Subo este disco con lo mejor de Cash. Me he decidido por este porque hay sus canciones mas conocidas, y la mayoría son rápidas, sin ser un country tan profundo y clásico como muchos de sus discos, y los que no estéis acostumbrados al estilo (nunca es tarde para empezar), os será mas ameno de escuchar.

The Marshall Tucker Band - Long Hard Ride (1976)

Descubrí esta banda hace un tiempo en el blog Valle del muerto y compré algun vinilo suyo usado. Uno de mis favoritos es este. Tengo la discografía descargada, pero la podréis encontrar en varios blogs, así que pondre solo un par, para que sepáis como suenan. Country/country rock clasico, de lo mas autentico.

Tony Rice Unit - Manzanita (1979)

De verdad, no os dejeis engañar por la carátula este disco, realmente fea. Dentro contiene uno de mis discos favoritos, y sin duda, el mejor bluegrass que he escuchado nunca. Con canciones como la clasica "Nine pound hammer" y mi favorita "Old train".

Tony Rice Unit es un grupo de bluegrass de California, con voz i guitarra acústica de Rice, Jerry Douglas al dobro, Sam Bush a la mandolina, entre otros.

Nada de bluegrass hortera, de voces agudas y violines estridentes. TRU toca con un ritmo muy marcado con el contrabajo y la guitarra acústica, unas canciones mas lento y otras realmente rapido, con maginificos solos de violín y mandolina y un sonido de fondo del dobro que los distingue.

Realmente bueno, muy bueno. Lo recomiendo.

Mi primera intención al crear este blog fué decantarlo hacia un estilo mas country y bluegrass, dejando un poco el rock i todo lo demás mas cañero, pero en vista del poco exito que tienen mis discos de country, subo algo de rock, intentando no alejarme mucho del estilo.

Muchos blogs tratan el rock en todas las variedades, pero creo interesante decantarme más hacia en country y sus variantes, así que seguiré subiendo country en la medida que me sea posible. Cualquier comentario será bienvenido, y sería un detalle por vuestra parte.

BR5-49 - Dog Days

Por fin encontré este disco. Lo buscaba desde que vi un directo de estos tios versionando la canción "shotgun boogie" que me encantó. Pues gracias al Blog de la buena musica ia lo tengo en mi disco duro. Esta banda fundada en 1993 mezcla western swing, country y algo de honky tonk, con buen ritmo pero nada festivalero. Muy recomendable.
